I've been writing stories, doing photography, running Web sites and blogging now for many years. On my personal site called News From An Acorn, I noticed that whenever I wrote and posted articles and photos that were inspiring and offered a sense of hope, that they were enthusiastically received, easily garnering the highest hits and repeat "reads" by people who visited.
Last year I ran a series of short inspirational pieces over a four month period called "Rise This Day," which again, received very favorable responses. Later, a friend said, "Why not a blog by the same name?"
For sure, it seems that we are hungering for less controversy and more sustenance in our lives these days. So here we are! Rise This Day will feature stories, readings, my own photography, and strive for whatever feels sacred, that feeds the soul, heals the heart and honors the Spirit within us all.
